Councilwoman Cassidy is currently serving her 2nd term on Council and is Council liaison to: the Board of Education, the Local Assistance Board, the Historical Society, the Library Board and the Board of Health

Cathy is chair of the Municipal Drug Alliance and organizer of numerous anti-drug programs for our schools and community. She is also a co-author of the book "Images of America - Wood-Ridge".

She has been active with the Donna Ricker Memorial Scholarship Committee, The Downtown Revitalization Committee and served as The Wood-Ridge coordinator of the Wood-Ridge/Hasbrouck Heights Drug Alliance Summer Concert. She is also a member of the Bergen County Historic Preservation Advisory Board and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Bergen County Historical Society.

Ms. Cassidy is a life long resident of Wood-Ridge and is a graduate of New Jersey City University, BA and has a Masters in Education from St. Peter's College.
