Rich was a founder and chair of the Veterans Walk of Freedom, serves as Chair for: the Annual Health and Safety Exposition, Mayor's Coalition for Residential Construction and Family Festival Day. He also co-chairs the "Keep Wood-Ridge Beautiful Campaign" program and spearheaded the Wood-Ridge Community Garden project. He was a founding member of the Coalition for Public Health and Safety studying environmental impact of Teterboro Airport. Rich's civic involvement includes soccer coach for both indoor and outdoor and he volunteers for many Borough reading programs for our youth. He is a graduate of Wagner College (Staten Island, NY) BA with a Degree in Literature, Secondary Education Minor and is employed as an Import Manager for Aspen Forwarders and Custom House Brokers Inc. Mr. Carbonaro has lived in Wood-Ridge eleven years and is married to Carol, with two daughters, Kristen (attends Ostrovsky Middle School) and Amy (attends Catherine E. Doyle School).
