Councilman Altamura is a dedicated public servant and committed volunteer. Appointed in 2000 and re-elected three times to Borough Council, Ezio has been recognized by our local Wood-Ridge VFW Post 3616 and their Ladies Auxiliary and presented with their “Outstanding Citizen Award”. Ezio’s leadership has been instrumental in improving the quality of life for Wood-Ridge residents by establishing the “Keep Wood-Ridge Beautiful” program, Coaches background check, Co-founder and President of the recreation Track & Field program since inception, Valley Blvd. Streetscape, Adopt-A-Highway Program and the development of the official borough website. Ezio currently serves as Chairman of the Public Works Committee, liaison to the Recreation Commission, Buildings and Grounds Committee, and Police Committee. Ezio is also a former Shade Tree Commissioner, Merchants’ group leader and Co-Council participant in the establishment of the Veterans Walk of Freedom.
